Cyclizar is a Dragon and Normal-type Pokémon that was initially introduced in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. It is thought to be a relative or a version of Koraidon and Miraidon, which are Legendary Paradox Pokémon that you encounter early on in the game [1] X Research source (Koraidon is available in Pokémon Scarlet, and Miraidon is found in Pokémon Violet). If you're playing Pokémon Scarlet or Violet and having trouble catching Cyclizar, this wikiHow will provide you with some advice.
Steps
-
1Make sure you have enough Poké Balls. Cyclizar has a relatively high Catch Rate [2] X Research source , meaning Great Balls should work well for catching it. However, it's a good idea to bring multiple Poké Balls with you in case your first attempt at catching Cyclizar is unsuccessful.
- You can also bring a Quick Ball with you if you'd like to try and catch Cyclizar immediately when the encounter begins.
-
2Learn the types of moves that Cyclizar is weak to. Since Cyclizar is a Dragon and Normal-type Pokémon, it is weak to Fairy, Ice, Dragon and Fighting-type moves. Keep in mind that a Fairy and Ghost type such as Mimikyu is immune to both of Cyclizar's STAB moves. [3] X Research source Including at least one Pokémon on your team that knows a move of one of these types can help make catching Cyclizar easier.
- Cyclizar is immune to Ghost-type moves, unless it is holding a Ring Target, in which case Ghost-type moves will have a normal level of effectiveness. [4] X Research source

3Go to a location where Cyclizar can be found. In Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, you have a chance of finding Cyclizar in Areas One and Two of the East Province, Areas One, Two and Three of the West Province, and in Four or Six-Star Tera Raid Battles. Cyclizar can also be found in the Asado Desert with a Flying Tera Type. [5] X Research source Choose a location, and head there to start looking for Cyclizar.
- If you choose to look for the Wild Tera Cyclizar, keep in mind that it will be level 45 [6] X Research source , and you should be able to spot it (and any Wild Tera Pokémon) by a bright glow. In addition, note that you will be unable to catch a Wild Tera Pokémon until it has taken enough damage for it to no longer be Terastallized. [7] X Research source You'll know this has happened when a brief animation plays during the battle, and then the Pokémon no longer has its Tera Jewel on top of its head (these are the balloons that you may have noticed appeared at the start of the battle, and it is different for each Tera Type. The Flying Tera Type has balloons).
-
4Cyclizar will already be on low health after losing it's Tera Jewel, so try throwing a Poké Ball to catch it. Although you may not catch it on your first try you should be successful eventually.
- Be careful if you decide to use moves that can Poison or Burn, since if successful, they will cause a Pokémon to slowly lose health until it faints. If this happens in the wild, you'll need to find another Cyclizar.
- False Swipe can be a great move option, since it's guaranteed to leave the Pokémon it's used on with at least 1 HP. [8] X Research source

5Add Cyclizar to your party, or send it to a Box.Advertisement
