Dewpider is one of the brand-new Pokémon for Pokémon Sun and Moon. It’s a Water and Bug-type Pokémon, and it can be a valuable asset to your team. Finding Dewpider can be tricky, so this wikiHow will provide you with some advice for finding and catching it.
Steps
-
1Purchase a few Pokéballs. Dewpider has a relatively high catch rate, so you shouldn't need too many-a few Great Balls should be perfect.
- You can also try using a Quick Ball if you'd like to attempt to catch Dewpider earlier on in the battle.
-
2Know where Dewpider can be found. There's only one location where you can find Dewpider, and that's at Brooklet Hill, on Akala Island, during the daytime only. It's the location of the Water-type Trial, and you can find Dewpider by either walking or surfing with Sharpedo Surf. [1] X Research source
- As with any Trial site, in order to be able to catch any Pokémon at Brooklet Hill, you must successfully complete the trial first.
- Keep in mind that if you're playing Pokémon Moon (or Ultra Moon), your in-game clock is twelve hours ahead of your 3DS clock.
- Dewpider's encounter rate is relatively low, so you may be walking or surfing around for a little while.

3Lower Dewpider's health to half or less if you aren't using a Quick Ball. Even though, as stated earlier Dewpider's catch rate is relatively high, lowering it to half-health or less can still make it easier to catch.
- Keep in mind that Dewpider is weak to Flying, Electric and Rock-type Pokémon, but it's strong against Fighting, Ground, Steel, Water and Ice-type Pokémon. [2] X Research source
- You can also consider using False Swipe on Dewpider, as this move is guaranteed to leave Dewpider with at least 1 HP.
-
4Throw your Pokéball to catch Dewpider. Since it has a relatively high catch rate, if its health is lowered to half or less, this shouldn't take too many tries.
-
5Enjoy your new Dewpider!Advertisement
