Thundurus is a fast Flying/Electric-type Pokémon. What makes it so hard to catch is that it's a roaming Pokémon, as well as a legendary. Buy a couple Quick Balls and some regular Pokeballs. You may need a lot of Ultra Balls and Timer Balls.
- Make sure you obtained a Quick Ball, because that's what you will be throwing at Thundurus.

Moves like Thunder Wave (Blitzle or Zebstrika) or Hypnosis (Musharna) work well. Avoid a burn, however (Will-O-Wisp). If your Pokémon doesn't have that move or Mean Look, just throw a Quick Ball at it.

Get a shiny Pokemon regularly. Run around in the grass, try the Masuda method, when you breed 2 Pokemon from different regions in real life, try regularly hatching eggs, get shiny charm and run around in grass, etc.
