  1. It is a big city that you can reach by boat from Virbank City. This is the only place you can catch Eevee in the game. [1]
  2. Eevee has a low catch rate, so you’ll want to have spare Pokeballs just in case the first one doesn’t catch them. If it's night, bring Dusk Balls to use as well.
    • Try using a Quick Ball on the first turn if you have some. Quick Balls work best at the beginning of the battle.
    • If you've already caught an Eevee, use a Repeat Ball. You know you've caught it when there is a Poké Ball next to its name.

  3. Once you arrive in Castelia City, take a right and head to the dock that’s closest to Skyarrow Bridge. There will be a small deck attached to the dock. [2]
  4. This will take you to the Castelia Sewers. Bear in mind, if you haven't been here before, Iris will be there and so will Hugh, your rival. So be sure to come here again after that point in the story. [3]
  5. Take the Castelia Sewers until you reach a turning point. If you haven’t been here already, you’ll need to fight Plasma Grunts while you make your way. Once you beat them, turn left and you will be greeted with a set of stairs. [4]
  6. You will see a small garden with a tree and a guy standing next to it after going up the stairs. The guy there says that it was the beginning for Castelia City. [5]
  7. Eevee has only a 5% chance of appearing in the grass. The other Pokémon that can be found there are: Audino (shaking grass), Lilligant (White 2), Buneary (Black 2), Cottonee (Black 2), Whimsicott (Black 2), Delcatty (White 2) Pidove (White 2 and Black 2), Lopunny (Black 2), Petilil (White 2), Rattata and Skitty (White 2). [6]
    • It is disheartening, but don't give up. It may take a while but you will eventually find one. Only then will you be able to catch it. You can only find it at level 18 and higher.
  8. Once the Eevee’s health is down to 7&, use a Poké Ball on it. You're unlikely to catch it the first time, so be patient. An Ultra Ball gives a higher catch rate than an ordinary Poké Ball. [7]
    • Have a Pokémon with a move that inflicts a status effect such as paralysis or sleep. This will make it easier to catch.
    • Don't use moves that poison or confuse the other Pokémon or it could die by accident.

How to Get a Hidden Ability Eevee

  1. 1
After beating the game, go to Fennel and Amanita’s lab in Castelia City. Once you beat the Elite Four, go to the north part of Castelia City and go inside the building across the street from Castelia Gym. Head to the 3rd floor to get to Fennel and Amanita’s lab. [8]
  2. 2
Once you’re in the lab, talk to Amanita for an Eevee. Locate Amanita (the one with brown hair and short pigtails) and talk to her. After you make it through the prompts, Amanita will grant you an Eevee with its hidden ability. This hidden ability carries over even if you evolve the Eevee. [9]
    • Eevee’s hidden ability is Anticipation, which will make it shudder if an opponent uses a high-damage ability. This gives it a better chance of survival.

      • Not all Eevees are on Level 19. I found one on level 18, which doesn't make a huge difference but it's good to know that there are other opportunities.
      • If you go to Castelia and go to the third floor at one of the hotels, you'll find Aminita. She'll give you a level 10 Eevee.
      • If you already have an Eevee or any of its evolutions, they may not appear to you even if you complete all the steps.
      • Have a lead Pokemon that is level 17-18 and use repels. This makes it more likely that you'll encounter an Eevee.
      • If the Eevee is paralyzed or sleeping it will be easier for you to catch.
