Steps

Click your avatar or username at the top-right corner of Reddit. If you created your Reddit account with a Google account or Apple ID, you can choose a unique username as long as it's been fewer than 30 days since you created your account. [3] X Research source

Click Change Username . You'll only see this option if you're still within the 30-day name change period.

Enter a new username and click Continue . Your username can be as few as 3 characters, but no longer than 23 characters. If your username is not already taken and meets the minimum criteria, you'll be asked if you want to keep your new username.

Click Save Username to permanently change your username. Your changes will take effect right away.
- Changing your username will not affect your posting history . All your posts, comments, and karma will now be associated with your new username.

Follow the on-screen instructions to create your account. Now you'll go through the Reddit sign-up process, which asks you to select a gender, some interests, and more.
- If you signed up with your email address, you'll be asked to create a new username. If you signed up with a Google or Apple account, you'll be taken directly to the Reddit homepage once signed in.
