WhatsApp is a platform used for phone and text communication. There are all sorts of things you can do with it; whether it's sending messages or video calling loved ones overseas. However, you might prefer to hide your profile image from some people, and luckily you've come to the right place! In this guide, you'll learn how to change who can see your profile photo.

  4. This is the option on the top.
  5. This option is second down from the top.
    • Tap Everyone if you want anyone on WhatsApp to be able to see your profile picture.
    • Tap My Contacts if you want only your WhatsApp contacts to see your profile picture.
    • Tap Nobody if you don’t want anyone on WhatsApp to see your profile picture.
  6. The screen will go back to the previous page and will briefly show “Updating…” at the top of the page. It will then refresh and save your updated choice.

    It might be because your friend is part of your contacts. This just means that she's your friend on WhatsApp. On Step 6, instead of selecting "My Contacts," click "Nobody."

    There isn't a way to only let certain contacts see your profile photo. You only have the options of everybody, nobody, and all contacts.
