Edit your notifications for Snapchat
Are you getting too many notifications from your friends on Snapchat? To stop the "Shared a Snap with you" alert, you can easily mute the user. To stop other alerts, such as Story Posts and Mentions, you can change your notification settings. Here's how to change who you get Snapchat notifications from using your iPhone, iPad, or Android.

- Tap the chat tab.
- Tap and hold the user.
- Tap Chat and Notification Settings .
- Tap Notification Settings .
- Toggle on Mute Chats .
- Toggle on Mute Calls .

Changing for Specific People

Tap the chat icon. This is at the bottom of the screen, to the left of the camera icon.
- If you want to stop receiving notifications from specific users or groups, you can choose to mute them .
- If you want to stop a user from interacting with you at all, you can block them .

Tap and hold the user you want to mute. A pop-up menu will open.Advertisement

Tap Chat and Notification Settings . This is underneath Manage Friendship .

Tap Notification Settings . This is the bottom option.

Toggle on"Mute Chats". The switch will turn green. All message notifications will be muted for this user.

Toggle on"Mute Calls". The switch will turn green. All call notifications will be muted for this user.

Tap Done . Your changes will be saved. If you want to unmute the user, open the Notification Settings menu again and toggle the switches off.

Disabling All Snapchat Notifications

Tap your profile icon. This is in the top-left corner.

Tap Notifications . You can find this underneath the My Account header.

Toggle offthe notification type. You'll see a long list of notifications. Turn off any you don't want. The switch will turn grey.
- If you want to turn off notifications for Stories you follow, scroll to the bottom, and tap Manage Story Notifications . Tap the user to remove them.
