Changing your default web browser is now possible on iPhone and iPad with the release of iOS 14. This wikiHow will show you how to do so.

Steps

  1. This feature will only work with Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox, DuckDuckGo and (obviously) Apple Safari - which can all be downloaded from the iOS App Store. [1]
    • Note that all browsers on iPhone and iPad use WebKit, so if the website you navigate to does not support it, you will, unfortunately, have to use a different device.
  2. It is the app with the gray gear on it.

  3. This will open the app's settings.
  4. This will allow you to choose your default web browser.
  5. Tap on your favorite browser to select it.
    • The next time your device needs to open a website, it will use the default browser you selected.
