What do I do if I can't add new contacts to WhatsApp on my phone?
    Community Answer
Go to Phone Settings-Apps-Whatsapp-Permissions. From here, enable Contacts, so that Whatsapp will get access to Phone Contacts and it will recognize the Whatsapp using numbers. If your number and new contact are using different country codes, don't forget to add his country code too.
