Keep in mind that when machining a rotor, typically a total of four thousandths of an inch are removed (2 from each side), so if you are going to be less than the minimum printed on the rotor, it's time to replace. Note: most repair facilities these days do not like to resurface rotors. This is not only due to laziness and the facility wanting to make more money, but also because most facilities do not want to hear about many brake noise concerns that come with the process of machining.
