    Use a microfiber cloth to clean your touchscreen thoroughly, wiping from side to side. Be sure to wipe around the perimeter of the screen, using your fingernail to press a bit of cloth into any crevices where the screen meets the back. Apply gentle pressure to remove surface fingerprints. [2]

    Absolutely not! Please don't do this. You really don't want to use abrasive glass cleaners on a computer screen. Stick with a dry microfiber cloth. If it's really dirty, use a computer screen cleaner or 99% alcohol.

    Most computer screens are laminated, and a strong chemical cleaner will just wear down the exterior surface of the screen. Basically, it's too strong for the task you want to accomplish. You want to clean the screen, not wear away a layer.
