Connect Discord to an Xbox Console: Quick Steps

  1. Press the Xbox button.
  2. Go to Profile & system > Settings > Account .
  3. Select Linked social accounts .
  4. Select Link under "Discord."
  5. Follow the onscreen instructions to finish linking your accounts.

  1. Hit the Xbox button and cycle over to the tab, which resembles 2 chat bubbles overlapping one another.
  2. This option should sit beneath the “Start a party” option at the top of the menu.
  3. A list of all available servers will appear on the screen.
  4. Once you select your desired voice chat, you’ll automatically be connected and able to chat.
  5. Tap the Xbox button one more time and toggle over to the “Parties & chats” tab again. Then, select “Disconnect” in the “Discord” section of the menu to leave the voice call. [2]

Transferring a Voice Channel Call to Xbox

  1. The call needs to be active before you can transfer it to your Xbox.
    • You’ll need the Xbox mobile app installed for this to work properly. You can download it from the App Store or Google Play store, depending on your phone. [3]
  2. The exact process depends if you’re on your phone or computer:
    • Phone/tablet:
      • Swipe up.
      • Hit “Join on Xbox.”
      • Wait for the Xbox app to open.
      • Hit “Transfer Audio” in the Xbox app.
    • Computer:
      • Right-click on the voice channel you’re in.
      • Click “Join Voice on Xbox” or “Transfer Voice to Xbox.”
      • Scan the QR code that pops up.

Streaming from Xbox to Discord

Fixing "Voice Transfer Failed"

    • Remote features are not enabled. If you can't transfer voice calls from Discord to your Xbox console, "remote features" may be disabled: [5]

      • Go to Profile & system > Settings > Device & Connections > Remote features .

    • Incorrect sound output or input. If you can't hear anything in the voice chat or others cannot hear you at all, the wrong input and/or output may be set. In your Discord voice settings, select the correct microphone under "Input device," and the correct speaker/sound device under "Output device" and adjust the volume sliders as needed. [8]
    • Noise suppression is off. If others can hear you a little bit but not well, or you're having trouble hearing others clearly, try enabling noise suppression in your Discord voice channel under Parties & chats > Options > Noise suppression .
