  1. Visit the Google support page and click on the application that you’re having an issue with. Browse through the common problems and suggestions to see if your issue is listed. If it is, click on the option and follow the directions to fix it. If you still can’t find your issue, then try searching for it in the search bar at the top of the window. [2]
    • You can find Google Support here: https://support.google.com/ .
    • The support menus list the most common issues or complaints that Google receives, so your specific problem may not be listed.
  2. After clicking on the Google application that’s giving you trouble, look at the top left corner of the window for the “Community” option. Click it to enter the community forums where other people have posted their issues. Browse and search through the community forums for the issue you’re having to see if someone else has posted about it and check the comments for any solutions. [3]
    • Sometimes official Google support specialists will respond to posts in the community forums with helpful fixes or links to help you.
    • If you don’t find your issue, you can write a new forum post so others can find it as well. Don’t post any private account information in your post since it will be publicly displayed.

  3. Check if the option you selected from the Google Support page has a blue button labeled “Contact Us” on the bottom left of the page. When you click on it, a menu will appear with more common problems related to issue listed on the page. Scroll through the options on the menu and select the one is similar to your problem. [4]
    • Not every issue listed will have a “Contact Us” button, so you may need to select a different issue that’s related to what you’re experiencing.
  4. You may be given contact options when you select your issue from the menu after clicking the “Contact Us” button. If there’s a selection labeled “Request Callback,” select it and fill out your phone number and the issue you’re having. Include any error messages you received in your description so the support specialist knows what the problem is. Click the “Call Me” button at the bottom of the form and wait for support to reach out to you. [5]
    • Sometimes the “Request Callback” option may be listed as unavailable, so you’ll need to use a different method instead.
    • The phone call may come from an unrecognized or international number, so some spam filters may try to block it.

Tip: Make sure you’re logged into the Google account that’s associated with the problem so support can look through your information.

  5. If the callback feature is unavailable or you’d prefer to message a support specialist, select the “Request Chat” option from the menu. Provide your name and the issue that you’re experiencing in the form provided and then click the “Submit” button on the bottom of the page. Customer support will send you a chat once they are available so you can talk and figure out the problem. [6]
    • You cannot use the chat feature to request a refund from the Google Play store since there is a separate form you need to fill out.
