With so many people buying a Nintendo Switch, you might feel a little lost in the crowd. Decorating your Switch can make it feel more personal (and you won’t mix it up with your friends’ Switches anymore). We’ve compiled some of the best ways you can customize your Switch with just a little DIY work.

For a truly customized Switch, you can grab your paintbrush. Put Washi tape down on the area that you want to paint so you don’t paint directly onto your Switch. Then, use acrylic paint for a fun border, pattern, or color! ^{[9]

Instead of buying new Joy Cons, you can replace the shells instead. Use a small screwdriver to remove your existing shells, then replace them with your new ones (being careful to keep all the hardware in place as you found it). ^{[10]

What is the difference between a Nintendo Switch and a Nintendo Switch Light?

The Nintendo Switch is the original version that Nintendo made. However, the Nintendo Switch Light was additionally made for single players and people who take around their Nintendo Switch. The main differences are that the Nintendo Switch Light does not offer the ability to remove the Joy Cons from the main body, it has a better texture, and you can't connect it to the TV. You also cannot feel vibrations from the joy cons. (But it comes in different colors of a pastel tone so it's cute and pretty.)
