Open your Android's Messages app.

  1. If the Messages app opens up to a conversation, tapon the top-left to go back to your inbox.

Tap and hold the message you want to delete.

  1. If you'd rather select multiple messages to delete at once, long-press the first message to select it, and then tap every message you want to add.

Tap the DELETE button.

  1. This deletes the message from your inbox.
    • On some versions, you might see a trash icon here instead of a DELETE button. In this case, tap the trash icon to delete.
    • You may have to tap DELETE a second time to confirm.
