  1. Close the app fully and open it again. If the app has been running in the background for a while, it may just need a simple reboot.
  2. Updates provide important bug fixes. If you're not seeing a certain button, or if the interface isn't loading, you may need to update your app.
  3. If the app is still buggy after an update, try to delete the app fully, and then download it from the App Store or Google Play Store again.
  4. If the account is still showing up in Gmail, it's possible you have it added to your phone itself. Keep in mind that removing an account on your phone will remove all information associated with that account. You can get the data back if you sync your account again.
    • Open Settings .
    • Tap Password & accounts or Users & accounts .
    • Tap the account you want to remove.
    • Tap Remove account .
    • Tap Remove account again.
      • If this is the only Google account on your phone, you'll need to enter your password, PIN, or pattern.
