How can I make a shadow if the paper is flying?

Determine where you want the light source to be (such as lamp, or sun -- and remember, it doesn't have to be visible in your drawing). Then, create a line and keep that line going at the same angle until it hits the ground in your drawing. Use the side of the pencil, like you would in shading, and draw the shadow getting lighter out from the middle.
