How to Enable Group Messaging on an iPhone

To enable group messages on your iPhone, tap the Settings app → tap Messages → toggle "MMS Messaging" on → toggle "Group Messaging" on.

If you don't see this, your carrier or current plan does not support MMS messages.

When this is enabled, you'll be able to send and receive MMS group messages. This option is only visible if MMS Messaging is enabled. ^{[1]

You can also type the name of someone or type a phone number.

If everyone in the group message is using iMessage, the text bubbles will be blue. If you are using MMS, the messages will be green.

You might not have been invited to a group chat, or your notifications are off. To turn them on, go to settings>notifications>messages>show notifications.
