These workarounds aren't as easy as opening the app on PS5 , but, with a little work, you can chat on Discord while playing games on your PS4 console. This wikiHow teaches you how to get Discord on your PS4.

  • Use the web browser to navigate to the Discord web app.
  • Enable JavaScript in your web browser if it isn't already enabled.
  • To join a voice chat on Discord using your PS4, you can either use a headset and mic that you plug into the controller or PS Remote Play on your phone.

    Enter "discord.com" into the address bar and press "Go." Discord will open in the browser on your PS4.
    • If Discord isn't working on your browser, make sure you have Javascript enabled. Press the "Options" button on your controller and go to Settings > Enable Javascript .

    Alternatively, get PS Remote Play on your Android or iPhone and use your phone as a mic on PS4 . To do this, simply
    • Download PS Remote Play on your Android or iPhone.
    • On your PS4, go to Settings > Remote Play Connection Settings > Enable Remote Play > Add Device .
    • Open the PS Remote Play app on your phone and log in with the same PS account that's currently logged into your PS4.
    • Select Link Manually and enter the code that's displayed on your TV.
    • Once connected, you'll be able to see your console on your phone's screen. You'll also hear sounds from your PS4 (the games and the sounds coming from the web browser). Connect headphones to your phone for a better listening experience.
    • Tap the microphone icon to use your phone's mic.
    • Join a Discord call and you'll be able to talk with those in the call using the web browser on your PS4.
