  1. If your birthday is on a weekday, you may choose to hold it on the weekend, as the majority of parties are held on Friday evenings and Saturday throughout the day. Plan how many guests you want and create a list. Keep a date in mind, but don't limit yourself to a single day. If you have a favorite location in mind for your event, it's also a good idea to check with the venue ahead of time to see if they are available for hire on your preferred date. [1]

    • Pin the horn on the unicorn. Pin a large unicorn to your wall, then give each party-goer a blindfold and a horn to pin up each turn. To make things easier, draw your own game at home or use a free printable version. Place the image on the wall so that it is at eye level with the player. The player should be blindfolded.     • Jelly-bean guessing game. All you need is some paper, a pen, a bag of Jelly Belly's, and the flavor chart found on the back of the bag. This game requires the participation of an adult or someone who can tell what each bean is without giving away the answer. Keep the beans in a bowl and have the kids form a line. The first person in line will extend their hand and close their eyes. You will give them a magical bean in their hand. They'll put it in their mouths and chew on it. They must make an educated guess as to what the flavor is. They are allowed two guesses, and if they are correct, they receive a point. [8]
    • Rainbow Round-up. For this game, you'll need three different colors of latex balloons, a hula hoop, a timer, and a dollar store broom. Fill a couple of the balloons with air, one of each color. Place one balloon of each color on one side of the room's floor and the hula hoop on the other side of the room's floor. Arrange the children in a line and hand the broom to the first child. They have one minute or less to sweep all three balloons into the hula hoop without popping them. By the time the timer goes off, all three balloons must be inside the hula hoop. [9]

Create a party table filled with unicorn coloring books, quizzes, and mini crafts with this in mind. Make sure you have a good supply of coloring pens, pencils, and glitter pens.
