    When I download online games, they are often in a ZIP or RAR file. What do I do first?

    You must first unzip the game. If your game is in a simple ZIP file, it can be unzipped using Windows' built-in unzipping tool. If your game is in a RAR or 7z file, you will have to use a third-party unzipping tool like 7-zip, WinRAR, or WinZip to unzip your game.

      • If you don't know where the file was downloaded to: Use the search function (in the Start menu of a windows PC) to find it if you know the name. If you don't, go through the steps to downloading it again, and pay attention to what it's called and where it's being saved to. You don't have to actually commence the download again, just see where it was saved.
