- To invite someone to send you a Messenger chat, get your username link from your profile and copy it to your clipboard.

Open Messenger. Tap the app icon that looks like a white lightning bolt inside a blue speech bubble.
- Use this method to invite someone to chat with you on Messenger. If someone who doesn't have Messenger uses your invite link, they will be prompted to sign up and download the app.

Tap . This gear icon is in the top right corner of the menu.

Tap Username . Scroll down the menu to see this option next to an "@" on an orange background.
- Your link will be copied to your clipboard.

Share the link with others. Paste the link anywhere, like in a chat on Discord or in an email, where others can see the link and click it.
- Once they click the link, Messenger will open a chat with you in a web browser or the mobile app (depending on whether they click the app on a phone or a computer).
