Thigh-high boots, also known as over-the-knee boots, are a great fashion accessory for your outfits. You can pair thigh-high boots with skirts, shorts, and dresses, as well as over jeans. However, you may find it annoying when your boots keep slouching or falling down when you walk around in them, and wonder how you can keep them in place. Try applying fashion glue to secure them. You can also make your own boot bra with a few household items so your thigh high boots do not slip down again.

Applying Fashion Glue

  1. 1
Buy fashion glue. Fashion glue is used at fashion shows and beauty pageants to prevent clothing from riding up or coming off during showtime. You can find fashion glue at your local beauty supply store or online.
    • Fashion glue is relatively inexpensive and designed to be applied to skin.
    • Do not use regular glue or other types of glue for this method, as they can injure your skin.
  2. 2
Apply the fashion glue to your thighs. Roll on the fashion glue in a thick line around your thighs, at the location where the boots will hit your thighs. Put a generous layer on your skin so your boots have something to stick to.
    • Wait 10 seconds for it to set.
    • If you'd like to get a tighter fit before using the glue, put on thigh high socks. The socks will help to keep the boots in place.

Put on the boots and press them onto the glue. Lift the top of the boots up so they hit the area with the glue. Use your fingers to press the fabric into the glue.
  4. 4
Wait one to two minutes for adhesive to adhere to the fabric. Stay still and try not to move around too much while the glue dries. Apply pressure onto the fabric while you wait so it sticks.
  5. 5
Remove the boots by pulling the fabric from your skin. Be gentle when you pull the fabric off of your skin so you are not at risk of injury. Wiggle or gently pull on the fabric. Do not tug or rip at it, as this can lead to injury. Use warm water to rinse off the glue on your thighs.
    • If your skin gets very red or irritated by the fashion glue, do not keep using it.

Making a Boot Bra

  1. 1
Measure around your thighs with the elastic. Take the elastic and wrap it around each thigh. Measure 1 2 inch (1.3 cm) below where your boots usually hit your thighs. Stretch the elastic with your finger to ensure you have enough room between the elastic and your thigh. It should be tight but comfortable around your thigh. [1]
    • Use the fabric marker to mark the elastic so you know where to cut it.
  2. 2
Cut the elastic. Use the scissors to cut a straight line at the measurement you noted with the marker. You should have two pieces of elastic of the same length for each leg. [2]
  3. 3
Fold the elastic in half and sew along the edge. Use the needle and thread to sew a straight line along the edge of the elastic so the two sides are connected. If you have access to a sewing machine, sew the two pieces together using a simple straight stitch. [3]
    • Do this for both pieces of elastic.
    • Flip the elastic pieces inside out so the sewn edge is facing inward.
  4. 4
Put the elastic pieces on your legs. Place them about 1 inch (2.5 cm) below where your thigh hight boots hit you on your thighs.
  5. 5
Place the Velcro on the the elastic. Peel the adhesive off the Velcro pieces and put them on the part of the elastic that is on the outside of your thighs. Press on them with your fingers. The adhesive on the velcro should stick well to the elastic. [4]
  6. 6
Place the other piece of Velcro on the inside of the boots. Put the Velcro pieces about 1 inch (2.5 cm) down from the top of the boot. Press the piece of Velcro onto the inside of the boots with your fingers so it is secure. [5]
  7. 7
Secure the boots to the elastic pieces. Roll the top part of the boots up to the elastic pieces. Press the velcro pieces together so your boots stay up and are secure. [6]
    • Try walking around your house to ensure the boots do not fall down. If the velcro is secured properly, they should stay in place.
