Luckily, there are some ways he may hint at his feelings in his messages. When You Should Stop Texting a Guy

If he mentions that he doesn’t want to keep talking, he’s trying to be respectful by saying it directly rather than ignoring your messages.     If his texts are sort of dismissive or he isn't really making an effort to connect, that's usually a bad sign. It's also a red flag if he leaves you on read and then texts you out of nowhere to string you along a bit.
