How to Make Flaming Arrows in Minecraft

Everything you need to craft and use flaming arrows for combat in Minecraft

Flaming arrows are useful and cool tools to use as weapons in Minecraft. With a flaming arrow, you can even get cooked chicken without a furnace!

Things You Should Know

  • You'll need an anvil, a bow, and Enchanted Book Flame I.
  • Place the anvil, then right-click on it to open the anvil window.
  • Place the bow in the first slot and Enchanted Book Flame I in the second slot.
  • Drag the newly enchanted bow from the third slot into your inventory.

    If you shoot a chicken with a flaming arrow, it gives you cooked chicken. The same will work for sheep, cows, pigs etc.

    Try making a trap with it. Hook up a dispenser to a tripwire, so that when someone walks over the tripwire, the arrow ignites the TNT.
    • However, flaming arrows will not set fire to trees or wood.
