Does your Minecraft house have an office? Do you want your office to have a computer? This wikiHow teaches you how to build a computer for your Minecraft office.
Steps
-
Place glowstone blocks in a wall where you want your monitor to go. You can use one glowstone block for a square-shaped monitor, or two glowstone blocks for a widescreen monitor. The glowstone blocks should be placed one block above the ground.
- Glowstone blocks are crafted from 4 glowstone dust using a crafting table . [1] X Research source Glowstone dust is mined using a pickaxe in the Nether .
-
Remove the wall surrounding the glowstone blocks. Use whatever tool necessary to remove the wall surrounding the glowstone blocks. Leave the glowstone blocks floating in air.Advertisement
-
Place a painting that resembles a computer screen over the glowstone. Paintings are crafted from 8 sticks and wool using a crafting table. The size of the painting will conform to the size of the glowstone blocks. One glowstone block will produce a painting one square size, while two glowstone blocks will produce a painting two square-spaces wide.
- The painting you get is random. If you don't get a painting that resembles a computer screen, remove it and replace it with a new painting. You may have to try several times to get a suitable painting.
-
Rebuild the wall around the glowstone blocks. After you find a suitable painting to act as your computer screen, rebuild the wall around the glowstone blocks. You should now have a computer screen attached to the wall one block above the ground.
-
Build a computer desk. The computer monitor should be centered above the computer desk. Place two wooden plank blocks on the ends of the computer desk. Then place wooden slabs in between the two ends of the desk. You can craft 6 wooden slabs from three wooden plank blocks using a crafting table.
-
Use carpet as the keyboard. White carpet can be crafted from 2 wool blocks using a crafting table. You can also use dyes to change the color of the carpet.
- If your computer monitor is only one block wide, you can use a pressure plate as the keyboard.
-
Use a stone button as a mouse. Stone buttons can be crafted from two stone blocks using a crafting table, or be smelted from cobblestone blocks using a furnace .
-
Use steps as a chair. You can craft steps from 6 blocks of wooden planks, stone, sandstone, prismarine, nether brick, quartz, purpur, and more. It just depends on what color you want the chair to be. Stand on the desk and place the steps in front of the computer so that they form a chair facing the computer.
- Additionally, you can place a sign on the sides of the chair to act as armrests.
- You can push a minecart inside the chair so you can feel like you're actually sitting in it. Alternatively, install a sit plugin or datapack.
