How to Use PayPal to Pay In-Store on iPhone and iPad

Did you know you can use the PayPal app to pay a store in person? To make the payment, you'll just launch the PayPal app, scan the store's PayPal QR code, enter the amount, and confirm your payment. Be sure you're using the official PayPal app, as you won't be able to do this through Apple Wallet's tap-to-pay. This wikiHow teaches you how to how to make in-store purchases with PayPal on an iPhone or iPad.

Things You Should Know

  • Open the PayPal app. Tap the QR code icon in the top-right corner, and then tap "Get Started" to set up your payments.
  • Select a preferred payment method and preferred currency conversion method. Then tap "Confirm and Finish Setup".
  • To pay in store, tap the QR code icon. Tap "Scan" and scan the store's QR code. Enter the amount and tap "Pay Now".

    Before you're in the checkout line, make sure you have PayPal's touch-free payments service ready to use on your iPhone. You can download PayPal for iOS in the App Store . Start by opening the PayPal app, which is the blue-and-white "P" icon in your app list.
