"The higher you fly, the more you see."

As you may see a lot of mages in the Meta due to their overpowered skills, one that stands out from the crowd is Pharsa herself. With one skill preparing to stun you with a simple basic attack - to an air raid for her ultimate, she can turn into an MVP-caliber hero. If you want to learn the basics of Pharsa, read on with this wikiHow article for more.

  1. Pharsa is usually targeted at being a Meta Hero, so you need a quick alternative to her damage (if possible). Try picking Lylia, Aurora, and Harley for her similar style of poking an enemy and leading team fights, or try picking Kadita, Odette, Vale, Valir, and Yve to give a burst of damage similar to her ult.
  2. Her passive will let Verri rest for a few seconds, and when ready - Verri will attack the enemy hero when Pharsa attacks via her basic attack or skill. [1] This passive can be helpful if you have an ally with you since the slow effect following the basic attack can let others attack the enemy from behind. Also, if you ever need to check if any enemy is in the bushes, you can use her skills and Verri can attack the supposed ganker.
    • Note that summoned units from enemy heroes (e.g., Popol’s Kupa and Zhask’s Nightmaric Spawn) will also benefit from this passive if you attack them. While it may be a nuisance, it’s best to keep on going regardless.

  3. This skill will let her cast a spell in a selected area while dealing magic damage and can mark enemy heroes for four seconds. If hit again with Pharsa's skills or basic attack, the enemy will be stunned for one second. [2] Use Curse Of Crow when pairing it in with her ultimate. The CC advantage from her first skill will help kill enemies easily.
  4. Pharsa will release a wave of magic energy in a line and deal magic damage with it, too. [3] While not an impressive skill at first, using it when clearing minion lanes can help out, especially in the early game. [4] Energy Impact can also be useful to make it the final blow for enemy heroes if her ultimate doesn't kill an enemy hero.
  5. This ult will make Pharsa fly mid-air and will launch air raids into a target area up to four times within an eight-second limit. [5] Feathered Air Strike should be an important skill to use for Pharsa during team-fights due to its burst damage. Also, the ult can ensure a kill if Pharsa's other skills are used.
    • If you want to target an enemy hero while using her ult, just tap on the ult skill icon multiple times to target the enemy right away. As an alternative, you can hold the ult skill icon and adjust where to hit the ult.
    • Be careful about distancing yourself and the enemy. If you go start Feathered Air Strike too far, enemies can quickly retreat until the ultimate is complete. However, you can move a bit near the enemy to hit them, but not to get attacked right away when the ult is in motion. [6]
    • Since her cooldown of the ultimate can take some time in the early levels, only use Feathered Air Strike when appropriate (when you can hit the enemy hero completely).
  6. Pharsa will turn into Verri and will increase her movement speed. She will continue to fly until she is hit by a crowd-control effect, an attack is launched, or when the duration runs out. [7] You can use Wings by Wings when you need to retreat quickly or roam the map to attack enemy heroes. Either way, this skill should help Pharsa as a Meta hero alongside her other skills. [8]
    • It’s best to not always go hyper with the Wings by Wings skill in mind. With a 28.5-second cooldown, you may need to be conservative and consider if you should join a team fight before using the special skill.
  7. To help out increase her burst damage, start her equipment with Arcane Boots to increase her magic penetration, and then add Lightning Truncheon, Holy Crystal, and Glowing Wand to help improve her magic damage. As alternatives, also add Divine Glavine, Blood Wings, or Genius Wand if needed. [9]
    • For her battle spell, you have a myriad of selections. Using Flameshot could help to continue damaging enemy heroes, or applying Flicker can help her ultimate range if enemies escape. If you think enemy heroes will be an issue in later parts of the game, choose Sprint or Purify. [10]
  8. While this may be obvious, using the Mage emblem can help Pharsa. Choosing her talents are decidable via play-style/player choice, but you should focus on selecting Rupture (increases Adaptive Penetration) or Inspire (earns cooldown for skills). The second talent should either be Weapon Master (earning Magic Power from equipment increases her damage), or Bargain Hunter (buying equipment at a discount). For the core talent, use Lethal Ignition (dealing damage to heroes three times scorches the hero).
  9. One combo for Pharsa is 1 - Ult - Flameshot/Energy Impact. Use Curse of Crow first to mark the enemy hero, then use your ult to stun the hero. This should kill the enemy hero right away, but if it does not happen, use your Flameshot (or Energy Impact) to kill the enemy once and for all. This combo should be used during team fights to deal massive burst magic damage at once.
    • Another known combo is using her three main skills in succession (1 - 2 - Ult). This is good for mid-range attacks on enemies. Use her first skill to mark the enemy, then stun the enemy with Energy Impact, and finish it off with Feathered Air Strike. [11]

      • If you ever need to counter Pharsa, a good crowd-control hero (Kadita/Tigreal/Vale/Nana) can work, alongside heroes than can attack from behind with huge damage (mostly Marksman heroes, but also Saber/Harley/Valir).
