  • Question
My Latin teacher is very mean. Just yesterday he called me gay and claimed I was in love with another boy. How do I get this to stop?
    Community Answer
Make a complaint with the principal or ask your parents to call and make a complaint. Calling you gay is completely inappropriate and it's definitely against the code of conduct for your school. They could very likely get fired for this.
  • Question
What if my teacher acts nice to the students, but I sense there is something wrong based on how he looks and talks to me?
    Community Answer
It really depends on what specifically the teacher is saying or doing. As you have no proof currently that anything is wrong, I would suggest you just keep your eyes and ears open for anything odd, and avoid being alone with that teacher. If they say or do anything (to you or anyone else) that you know is wrong, tell another adult right away, like your parents or the principal. Try to keep an open mind, though. If this is just a gut feeling you have, you might be wrong about him.
  • Question
What do I do if a teacher treats me unfairly?
    Community Answer
Try to solve the situation with the teacher before going to the principal or other authorities. If it doesn't work, definitely report it to the principal.
  • Question
What do I do if my teacher gives me bad grades for no reason?
    Community Answer
Check your answers with someone who made a perfect score. Then try checking answers with someone who missed a few questions. Then take the answers to the teacher to prove him/her wrong. If it keeps happening, complain to the principal, or ask your parents to call the school.
  • Question
What do I do if a teacher only gives one student good grades and refuses to help the other students?
    Community Answer
Ask your teacher again to help you, and if they don’t, ask them (politely) why they're unwilling to. Then tell the principal what the teacher has said and done, or ask your parents to call the school and complain.
  • Question
What do I do if my teacher in school makes me uncomfortable?
    Community Answer
Talk to a principal, counselor, or school administrator about the situation. Your teacher has no right to make you feel unsafe at school.
  • Question
What can I do if my professor is being rude and sending me emails in a disrespectful manner? And It is too late to change class?
    Community Answer
It's probably too late to answer this for you specifically, but keep the emails as reference and report it to the dean.
  • Question
What do I do if my teacher tries to separate me and my friends?
    Community Answer
There's a reason why your teacher wants to separate you from your friends. You all may be too chatty during class, you might always pick your friends for group projects, or whatever else. Think about why it happens and change what you're doing.
