Sometimes I worry that I’m helpless, and would easily be overpowered by a man in the wrong situation. How can I train myself to be able to defend myself?
    Raphael Key
    Top Answerer
If you're worried about your ability to defend yourself, then it will be worth taking a self defense class. I would reccomend Krav-Maga if you have a class nearby. I know of someone who's under five feet tall with some martial arts training who managed to fight off a larger man. If you want to increase raw strength, then weight training or calisthenics should help you there, not everyone works out, so with a year's dedicated training you'll be stronger than plenty of men.
