You don't need much equipment to get started, so don't let a lack of equipment hold you back. My camera is actually pretty bad, and I sometimes just use my smartphone camera. I use a shotgun mic that's not that great either. I did just get a ring light, though, and I think that's going to make my lighting a whole lot better.

Look for other opportunities to monetize your channel. In addition to having ads on your channel, there are creative ways to make money. YouTube hit me up last winter and asked me to do ten tracks for their royalty-free music library. That was a good chunk of change, and now, I’m also doing a remix contest. It’s a way for me to shed light on some talent in the community and bolster that, and also have people engage with my tracks more, which is I think a win-win. I’m excited to see what people come up with there.

YouTube is blocked on the device you're using. If you're on a school device, they block it so you can't do things unrelated to school activities or watch anything inappropriate. If it's your own device, you need to log in as administrator and unblock the site.

YouTube's creator studio has a built-in audio library of many different songs and sound effects to use in your videos. You can use those, or search YouTube for copyright-free music. There also many channels that offer public domain music free to download. YouTube even has their own official channel that has over 100 different songs to pick from. Kevin MacLeod and Bensound are also good choices.
