That means you spent too many points on Transmission. When the DNA point bar is almost filled, you might want to spend it on Special Abilities, so that your DNA points are not wasted. Try to save the rest of the DNA point bar for Symptoms, however.

Evolve one symptom, coughing especially, and then do air and water. Devolve any symptoms that evolve randomly. Only get the transmission for water and air. Then get resistances and genetic hardenings. Finally, kill them all!
