  • Question
What is a good way to get poetry published?
    Donagan
    Top Answerer
First write poetry that is tantalizingly evocative. Then search online for publishers interested in poetry. When you find one (or more), check their website(s) for detailed instructions on submitting your work. Submit poems that friends and family think are your best.
  • Question
How do I perfect my poems?
    Donagan
    Top Answerer
Perfection is in the mind of the beholder. What you find "perfect," the next person may not. If you think your poetry is less than perfect, write and rewrite until you think it is. A poem with a generous portion of evocative imagery is often considered "good" or "perfect". Unfortunately, the ability to craft such images may be an inborn skill rather than a learned one.
  • Question
How do i know if I'm actually good at writing poems?
    Audrey Barria
    Community Answer
Share your poetry and ask for constructive criticism. You can also write a poem, put it away for a few months, and come back to it with fresh eyes. This way, you won't be blinded by anything since you will have forgotten the poem. But remember, "good" to one person might be "bad" to another, and vice versa. As long as you enjoy writing, it doesn't matter whether or not you are good.
  • Question
How often do I need to write?
    Audrey Barria
    Community Answer
As often as you want to/can. It shouldn't be a chore to write. Write when you have free time, even just a few minutes here and there.
