How do I breed rare dragons in Dragonvale?

There are many different rare dragons, but to get rainbow or double rainbow dragons, you have to use 4 of the elements fire, water, earth and air, or dark, light, metal, lightning. Longer breeding and incubating times means a better dragon, and you need a rainbow habitat for them.

There are many different possibilities for that combination. I suggest downloading a Dragonvale breeding guide from the AppStore. Most are free and have breeding simulators inbuilt so you can see what you might get. "DV Guide" is a good one. Here are all the outcomes that I found: Poison, Flower, Forest, Seaweed, Lichen, Mud, Pepper, Ice, Iceberg, Obsidian, Swamp, Salamander, Evergreen, Glacier, Lava, Coral, Moss, River, Mountain, Tree, Ornamental, Arctic, Geode, Rainbow and Double Rainbow. The chances of getting an epic are slim for that combination so I would try something different.

Breed any two dragons with a minimum of four elements between them, e.g. two hybrids. The four elements have to be all different. Cactus x magnetic wouldn't work because cactus is plant x lightning and magnetic is metal x lightning, only three elements. I like to use magnetic x seaweed because while you're going for double rainbow, you also have a chance to get Ouroboros, Cyclops, Electrum, Rainbow, and Platinum.
