  • Question
I'm thinking of buying a stackable washer/dryer, but I'm very short. I'm afraid I wouldn't be able to reach the controls on the dryer. Is there such a thing as a stackable dryer with the controls on the bottom?
    Community Answer
Many stackable dryers can be flipped over and wall mounted so that the controls are easily accessible.
  • Question
Do stackable washers hold a lot fewer clothes?
    Community Answer
No, there are completely full-size options available most anywhere. Keep in mind that most any dryer, with front controls, can be installed over the washer. It just depends if there's an actual kit to do so or if you need to make your own.
  • Question
Do I need a pan to put under my stackable washer and dryer?
    Community Answer
Only if it's attached to the plumbing, or it won't do anything useful. Some places do require them, I don't know why and I never had any washer in my life let loose. They're a good idea, but must be properly installed to save anything from damage.
  • Question
What about the mold that comes with a front load washer?
    Community Answer
Do not close the door between uses; this will prevent mold from developing in the washer. It is simply lack of ventilation due to the tight seal that causes the problem.
