Some rats, especially males, don't like having other rats in the cage with them. They can be territorial. If you put two rats in a cage, if one doesn't want cage mate, they're gonna fight. It's normal to see a little bit of fighting between cage mates anyway. Sometimes they play and sometimes they're trying to establish dominance. But if you see blood, you have to separate them as they can hurt each other pretty quickly.

I am in school for around 6 hours each day and my mum works the same amount of time but I am planning on getting two rats. Will it be okay to leave them for that long?

Definitely, just make sure that when you get home, you play with your rats. But leaving them alone together will be completely fine.

I've gotten a singular albino rat from a pet store back in december, and she is happier and healthier as ever. If I get another rat, they'll fight for dominance. You sure the article is correct?

It really depends on how you travel. If you travel by car, you should get your rats used to the car. Remember to give them some air, and secure their cage(s) with a seat belt.
