American Eskimo dogs are intelligent and easy to train, though they will not listen to you if you lose your patience and yell at them. Puppies are on average $600 - $1000 and fully-grown dogs are somewhere between $1000 - $3000 to buy. Or, it costs around $300 to adopt one from a shelter, if they have one.

I'm currently living on the west side of the US, and I am unable to find any American Eskimo dogs, do you have any suggestions on where I should get my dog?

This is not usually normal behavior for an American Eskimo dog. They are indoor dogs and aren't suited for life in the backyard. Try training your dog not to run off.

One of the many good things about training your American Eskimo puppy is that it is a very intelligent dog that learns very quickly. Potty training him is less about struggle than it is about time. You may need to wait until he is at least 10 to 12 weeks of age or you will be wasting your time.
