  • Question
How do I know if he's cheating on me when it's happening in our own home while I'm asleep?
    Community Answer
Randomly stay awake or wake up and catch him in the act.
  • Question
My wife is cheating on me and she is not apologizing for it and even my children know that she cheats on me. How do I handle this issue?
    Community Answer
This is a sticky and probably very painful issue. Unfortunately, if your wife has been cheating on you, but doesn't feel sorry about it, it might be time to question whether your marriage is valid.
  • Question
My husband stayed out until 5 AM with a female friend and claims his phone "died." Could he be cheating?
    Community Answer
This does seem suspicious, so I would insist on sitting down and talking this out with him. If possible, you may even want to speak with the female friend.
  • Question
My husband spends too much time on the internet. Is he cheating on me?
    Community Answer
I don't think you should jump to conclusions -- there are many reasons he could be spending so much time online. I would start by having an open, honest discussion with him about his internet usage and how you're becoming concerned with the amount of time he spends online. Encourage him to find other hobbies that don't involve a computer. If he's still spending excessive amounts of time online, you may want to quickly look through the browser history to see if he's visiting any suspicious sites.
  • Question
One side of my husband's shirt smells like perfume. The other side doesn't smell like anything. Is he cheating?
    Community Answer
Maybe a female coworker (or even a relative) hugged him, or maybe his shirt got mixed in with something of yours. Pick up the shirt when you're doing laundry or something, and just say, "Your shirt smells weird." Don't act suspicious, just observe him. If he explains, great. If he acts really defensive, then he might be cheating.
  • Question
How do I catch my cheating spouse?
    Community Answer
The methods in the article should work. However, if you suspect you're being cheated on, you may be better off having an honest conversation about the state of your marriage instead of trying to "catch" him.
  • Question
He said was working late and was going somewhere but he went to another place and had the smell of perfume on his shirt. He then stopped and changed his story, is he cheating?
    Community Answer
You need to talk to him, and tell him to be honest or it won't work. If he isn't making you happy, you shouldn't be with him.
  • Question
I think my boyfriend sneaks out when I'm sleeping. How would I know?
    Community Answer
Set an alarm to wake you a few hours after you go to bed. If he isn't there, you'll know.
  • Question
My husband and I live in different states, and I worry he is cheating on me. He doesn't show interest anymore. How do I know if he is cheating me?
    Community Answer
Ask him. He'll say "no" either way, but listen to his voice. Does it seem nervous, does it tremble, does he keep pausing, or does he remain silent? If yes then, he might, or he could be uncomfortable with the question. It feels awful to be asked such a thing, but sometimes it's necessary.
  • Question
All the signs are there, does this mean he's cheating?
    Community Answer
It's possible, but not a definite. Discuss your concerns with him and remember to trust and respect.
  • Question
My girlfriend is clearing her chat and looks as if she doesn't enjoy sex with me. Could it be that she is cheating?
    Tom De Backer
    Top Answerer
This in itself is not enough for me to know whether she's cheating. But try to make sex enjoyable for both of you. Think about the things she likes, and if you like to do those things, then do them more often. However, it is also at least 50% her own responsibility to enjoy sex. People sometimes tend to rely on the other person to give them pleasure, but it's mostly our own responsibility to take what we like from our partner. If she's no longer doing that, then she may indeed have lost interest in you. I would say a good conversation is needed.
  • Question
My wife is protective on her cellphone locking code, is she cheating?
    Community Answer
If she locks her phone, she may just want privacy. If you are still concerned, talk to her about it. Most people want to use lock security, so don't jump to conclusions!
  • Question
My husband lives in another states and my guts tells me that he is cheating on me. He says that most of the time he is busy, we used to spend most of the time on phone communicating but nowadays no.
    Community Answer
The longer you're away from a spouse, the easier it is for the two of you to develop your own routines and to find it hard to stay connected about daily minutiae. It becomes easier to only discuss the big things that happened rather than natter on about petty, everyday stuff. So that can be one possibility behind the reduced communications. However, if you really sense something might be happening, try a surprise visit one weekend to see him. If he's up to something, you might be able to smoke it out by asking why he wasn't there when you arrived, where he has been and what he's really up to. Just be careful, because he might simply be doing ordinary things to keep himself from being bored without you.
  • Question
Is it considered cheating if my boyfriend is in love with a fictional character?
    Community Answer
No, it is not cheating if your boyfriend is in love with a fictional character. However if you are not comfortable with this, you should have an open and honest talk with him where you can communicate your feelings and work together to create a solution.
  • Question
I have a feeling my husband is cheating on me with the nanny. When I asked him he said nothing is happening, but I noticed when I get home the nanny seems different. I asked him again and he hit me.
    Community Answer
Regardless of whether or not your husband is cheating, you should not stay with someone that hits you. I strongly recommend you leave him (and take your kids with you).
  • Question
My girlfriend cheated on me with my cousin. They kissed outside while I was really drunk. She said it meant nothing but I am so hurt. What should I do?
    Tom De Backer
    Top Answerer
Did she know beforehand it would hurt you? Even if it means nothing to her, she should have remembered that doing this would hurt you. If she didn't think of that, or did think of it but didn't want to stop anyway, she's not the right girl for you. When you're with someone, you simply can't treat their feelings so carelessly. "It didn't mean anything" is not a good explanation, because it did, to you. Also, your cousin is not a very nice person either. You'll always be related, but that doesn't mean you have to be anything other than polite to him.
  • Question
My boyfriend spends his most of the time on his phone even when I'm with him––is he cheating?
    Tom De Backer
    Top Answerer
Be careful for confirmation bias: you think he's cheating, so you look for things that might confirm your theory, but ignore everything else that proves he's not, he senses you're being cold, slowly loses interest, and finds someone else, and you'll go "aha! see!". When we get worried and insecure, we need to talk to our partners for reassurance, hugs, kisses and for them to say "silly, come here and I'll hug you lots". Now, if they don't want to do that from time to time, regardless of whether they're cheating, they might not be the right person for you. Talk to him.
