    Some people believe that Teflon pans are toxic; a good alternative is ceramic pans that do not emit toxic fumes. As for the oils, I choose not to oil non-stick pans, especially if they are ceramic.

    How do I remove the sticky coating on my nonstick waffle iron plates? They are not removable.

    Try Brillo pads or steep it in boiling water and washing-up liquid. However if it's not removable, you may just need a new pan.

    I have Circulon frying pans that I hand wash. There are small brown spots (burned oil?) on the stainless steel piece at the base of the handles that connect to the pans. How do I remove those? Thank

    It is very hard to get off. Does it also occur on the bottom of pan? If so, use bar keepers friend. This doesn’t take it all off but it helps.
