  • Question
How do I get my money back if Amazon wrongfully charges my credit card for Prime?
    Community Answer
Contact the service department and ask for your money back. If that doesn't work, you can contact your card issuer to dispute the charge.
  • Question
Can I send a check and my order, and have the item mailed to me?
    Rob Guthm
    Community Answer
They have no program for that. You would need to buy an Amazon.com gift card from a store, then open an account and pay for what you are buying with the gift card.
  • Question
Can I place orders with customer service?
    Community Answer
No. Their customer service representatives can help guide you through the ordering process, but you will need to place your order through the site.
  • Question
How may I change the payment method on an order that has already been delivered?
    Community Answer
This may be hard. If it was a Prime purchase you may have better luck, because Amazon can move money around their platform. If it was a third party seller, it won't work. Your best bet is to call Amazon and plead the case with a rep.
  • Question
Where is the packing list? I received my package but not an invoice sheet, why?
    Community Answer
Any order sold by or shipped by Amazon no longer gets a packing slip. Some 3rd party sellers may still do it, but generally that practice went away because of the waste of paper.
  • Question
How can I cancel an order?
    Community Answer
You go into My Orders, then click Cancel Item on what you want to cancel. You can't cancel items that have shipped.
  • Question
I have Amazon Prime, but when I try to play music on my TV, I get a message that says "join today at amazon.com/primemusic". What does this mean?
    Community Answer
Maybe you're not logged in on your TV. Or your membership expired.
  • Question
Why am I getting emails about cancelled orders if I have never used Amazon?
    Community Answer
Generally, this type of email is a "phishing" email, and has nothing to do with Amazon. It usually includes a link that asks for your username and password. If you click on the link (which you should NOT) and enter your username and password, you will have that account stolen by someone. The best way to deal with these types of emails, is to forward them to your ISP's security department. The email sender will then be included in the scammer/spammer lists.
  • Question
What if I cannot access my account?
    Community Answer
Click Forgot Password and follow the directions for resetting your password.
  • Question
Can I cancel my Prime membership and get my pro-rated money back? I have been charged £7.99 for Amazon Prime, but I haven't asked for this.
    Community Answer
First, make sure no one in your household or that you share access to your Amazon account with signed up for Prime. If they did, they should pay for it. You can cancel your membership, but don't expect to get back what's already been paid. The only case where you can get a refund is if someone hacked your Amazon account and signed up for Prime. If you really see no other explanation, then that may be what happened, and you should report it to Amazon and ask for a refund (and also change your Amazon password).
  • Question
What should I do if someone used my card on Amazon?
    Community Answer
First, call your bank and let them know about the fraudulent charges. Then, send a message to Amazon's support team to let them know what happened. They should be able to get the charges cancelled/removed.
  • Question
What does it mean if my account is on hold?
    Community Answer
It can mean many, many things. For example, it could be the result of you initiating a charge back from a purchase, a friend or family member using a stolen or expired card, etc. Basically, if you take a look at their Terms & Conditions, you'll see that your account could have been suspended for any number of infractions.
  • Question
Can I watch movies off someone else’s membership?

  • Question
What's the easiest way to contact Amazon?

Probably their chat option, if you have the time to wait for responses and like to type. They can't fix everything that goes wrong but they do try and most of the time are successful I have found.
  • Question
What do I do if I didn't get the product from Amazon but the screen says I did?
    Community Answer
Just contact Amazon and they will process the refund. Sometimes carrier tend to tagged the item as delivered though its not just to reach their quota for that day.
  • Question
I do not have a account at the moment. If I open an account do I pay before I received my orders or after?
    Community Answer
It usually depends if the item is sold and shipped by Amazon or if it's from a third party seller. Sold and shipped by Amazon items charge you the moment it gets shipped out while those items that are sold by third party item may be charged the moment you place the order.
  • Question
How do I return an order from Amazon?
    Community Answer
Go to the "Orders & Returns" menu and select the item to be returned. If it is eligible for return, then click that option. Be advised some vendors' relationship to Amazon requires you to contact them directly to request a return.
