    Yes, they can absolutely be kept warm like this for a little while. Just put tinfoil over the pan and keep your oven on the lowest temperature or "keep warm" setting. However, if you're making them many hours ahead of time (say in the morning to serve later in the day), then store them in the refrigerator and simply reheat in the oven at 400 degrees for about 15 minutes. You can cut one open to ensure they are warmed through before serving.

    You can boil them in batches as well as sauté the onions in batches. How many you can add depends on how big your pot and pan are. In a large stock pot, you could likely cook 50 pierogies at a time but for a normal soup pot, stick to about 20-25. Keep adding the batches into the roaster until you've reached your total.
