  • Question
What if I don't have an oven or a dishwasher? How will I make lasagna then?
    Community Answer
Try a pressure cooker. If you don’t have that, either, then buy lasagna and put it in the microwave.
  • Question
Why did my lasagna taste like soap?
    Community Answer
You did not cover it properly. Adding extra foil can help.
  • Question
Why did mine come out soggy?
    Community Answer
I think the idea of making lasagna in the dishwasher is fun in theory, but not so great in practice. I would make my next lasagna in the boring old oven.
  • Question
    What if I don't have a dishwasher? Can I use a kettle?
    Community Answer
No. The point of the dishwasher (and an oven) is that the lasagna needs constant heat at a regular, stable temperature. Water in a kettle cools, boils and cools again, which will cook some parts of your lasagna and not others. If you have neither an oven or a dishwasher, you might try a pressure cooker.
  • Question

    Community Answer
Dishwasher lasagna is as healthy as any other kind of lasagna. You're simply using another appliance—the dishwasher, instead of the oven—to generate heat and cook the dish.
  • Question
What do I do if my lasagna turned green?
    Community Answer
Do not eat the lasagna. Perhaps something from your dishwasher got in your lasagna. It could be contaminated, so it's best to dispose of it.
  • Question
What do you do if your lasagna blows up in the dishwasher?
    Community Answer
If the lasagna explodes everywhere, it may mean that the dishwasher heat is too high. Or it could mean that the lasagna dish was overfilled with ingredients. Another possibility is that there was not enough foil over the lasagna. Be sure to clean the dishwasher thoroughly before using it again.
  • Question
I have two dishwashers, which one do I use for this dish?
    Blardian
    Community Answer
Use the most powerful one. Check the dishwasher power consumption on the instruction manual of the dishwasher to work this out.
  • Question
Mine was just ruined. It looked like it melted. Why?
    Community Answer
    1. This could be a result of too much heat in your dishwasher. 2. If you mean that the lasagna is soggy, then you did not wrap it properly. Make sure that the rolls in the foil are wrapped tightly with no gaps, it has to be air and water tight. Alternatively, seal the aluminium foil with aluminium tape, like in the Mythbusters video.
