  • Question
Can you make a web shooter prop with household items?
    Community Answer
You can make one with Velcro, a belt, superglue, a retractable key chain, and a watch. Cut the belt into your correct size and superglue Velcro onto the belt. Open the watch, remove the components, drill a hole in the watch, and cut the end of the retractable key chain (but don't let go). Feed the string through and glue the string back to the key chain. Glue the key chain onto the bottom inside of the watch lid and screw back tight. Attach Velcro on top of the belt and Velcro or glue the watch on top.
  • Question
How did Peter Parker make his web shooters?
    Community Answer
Originally he had a spray nozzle and a little pumping thing, but immediately after made smaller versions and attached one on each wrist that would "operate by the slightest pressure of any finger." Other than later saying he used chemicals that remain unspecified, he said that he put "some strong liquid cement at the end." Other versions have been made, such as web shooters that operate by double tapping them and shoot spider tracers, and recently created fancier ones that can shoot chain webbing, acid webbing, concrete webbing, and the like.
  • Question
How do I make the web sticky?
    Community Answer
I would recommend using something like transparent glue, although it would be difficult to "shoot."
  • Question
Will the web shooter really work?
    Community Answer
Yes, but it isn't strong. However, it does create a good effect.
  • Question
What is the purpose of the rod?

The rod helps keep the shooter prop straight.
  • Question
How can I make a web that's strong enough to hold small rocks?
    Community Answer
You could incorporate multiple rubber bands into a mini crossbow on your arm. It would be difficult, but would most likely work. (You wouldn't be able to shoot the "web" from your fingers though.)
  • Question
What is the purpose of the pipes?

The string should be threaded through the pipes in order to give the illusion of a shooter prop.
  • Question
Is there a way to make real web shooters that work?

No, because you can't get real spider webs that can shoot and stick to things.
  • Question
How is the simple web shooter made at home?
    Community Answer
The simple web shooter can be made in home with home appliances, but it would not be very strong. Velcro, a belt and super glue are a good place to start.

  • Question
How long will the webs last?
    Ryan Anthony Mooresky
    Community Answer
Peter made his webs bio-degradable so they dissolved after about an hour or two but Otto altered the formula to make them last longer when he was the Superior Spider-Man.
  • Question
Can I make a web shooter without Velcro or craft foam?
    Ryan Anthony Mooresky
    Community Answer
Velcro is important so you can at least take the shooter off otherwise you're stuck with it on your wrist. Some people 3D print their shooters but you can use cardboard, for instance, or even sweat bands, which would suit Ben Reilly Scarlet Spider and possibly Spider-Punk.
