    Expert Answer
Say YES to every invitation! Be curious. Look at your life as an adventure with endless possibilities. Engage with the world around you instead of your phone. Smile and say hello to everyone. Fill your cup; figure out what you need to feel nourished and happy. The happier you are with your life, the better you will feel which makes you even more attractive. Make sure you have a supportive group of people around you who encourage you to try new things. Being single is the perfect opportunity to design the life you want, amplify your best qualities and know that you are enough...
  • Question
I love someone too much but he doesn't love me. What should I do?
    Community Answer
If he doesn't like you then he is not worth it. You are beautiful just the way you are and if he doesn't think you're enough I would find someone who actually deserves you.
  • Question
How can I get over someone I love who doesn't love me back?
    Community Answer
This has happened to me. Try focusing on friendship, other activities, and enjoying life. He/she is not interested, so move on, and try forgetting about him/her. Pick up a new healthy habit like running or gardening.
  • Question
How do I cope with being single when everyone around me seems to be coupled up?
    Community Answer
Just realize everything in life is cyclical and that it isn't necessarily a bad thing to be single.
  • Question
Is it true that I'm better off being single than being in a meaningless or on-again-off-again relationship?
    Community Answer
Yes. It is true indeed. Being in an unhealthy relationship causes stress and disturbs your peace of mind. Learn to love yourself and invest in others' lives (in a non-romantic context). Another truism is that true love will come to you when you're not looking for it, so live your life and refuse to settle.
  • Question
How do I love a person even though he sends mixed signals? I know love without pain is impossible, but how do I tolerate how he hurts me?
    Community Answer
You can try talking to him to see if he really cares. If that doesn't help, then it may be time to leave the relationship. If you are questioning how you can be with someone while they hurt you, it is not healthy or safe to be with that person.
  • Question
What if my ex starts trouble?
    Community Answer
If your ex vexes you with any type of pressure on getting back together: ignore them. Unless you are still interested in a romance with them or even just platonic friendship don't let them harass you into making a decision for your life. If you must, tell them you're learning yourself more before being in a committed relationship.
  • Question
Will I ever meet the one?
    Community Answer
Yes. In the meantime, work toward making yourself "the one" for your future partner.
  • Question
As a teenager, how do I manage being single until I get married?
    Community Answer
Dating is actually excellent practice for finding a spouse, and you can figure out what you want in a relationship, and what you like in a partner. Don't be afraid to put yourself out there and go on dates. Unless you plan to be single for life or have an arranged marriage, gaining experience is key to choosing a good spouse and learning to have a healthy relationship.
  • Question
What activities can I do to meet new people and make new friends? I want a fun new atmosphere.
    Community Answer
If you're a teenager, try going for after-school curricular activities, or even to sports clubs. Not only do you meet new people there, you also have the opportunity to make new friends out of your comfort zone. You can check for volunteer opportunities in your area, or check websites that list local events, such as Meetup.com.
  • Question
Why should I be friendly or hug some stranger that I don't even know their names?
    Community Answer
Being friendly is an important part of being sociable and getting along with people. Hugs are another story -- don't hug unless you want to. Tell the person that you "don't do hugs". They don't have an entitlement to one.
  • Question
My girlfriend broke up with me, and said it was because she will have an arranged marriage. When we started dating, she said she wanted a marriage based on love. Is she lying?
    Community Answer
Maybe she changed her mind, or maybe she is going along with what her family wants in order to make them happy. You could try asking a friend or family member about the situation, but the truth is, she broke up with you, and it doesn't really matter why.
  • Question
How can I gently tell someone that I am not interested when he says he is interested in me?
    Community Answer
Simply tell him that you're not interested in him romantically, or that you're not currently seeking to date anyone.
  • Question
What do I do if my ex tells me they still like me?
    Community Answer
It depends. Listen to your heart. If you still have feelings for them and you think it might work out this time, go for it. If not, just tell them the truth.
  • Question
How long will it take for someone to actually like me?
    Community Answer
Just be yourself. The right person will come along and fall in love with you for who you are. Just be patient.
  • Question
How do I spot a player?
    Community Answer
One of the key points of spotting a "player" is by looks, language, or past relationships. If that person is attractive, talks excessively about himself, or has had many past relationships, he's probably a player.
  • Question
Is it easier for women and harder for men to get into relationships?
    Community Answer
Not necessarily. A lot of women feel like they have to wait for a guy to make the first move, and often guys aren't as interested in making a commitment. It might be easier for a woman to date, but it's probably not any easier for a woman to get into an actual relationship.
  • Question
How do I get over my ex if I keep having little reminders about us?
    Community Answer
Just accept the little reminders and let them pass. Not take your time. Also, make the choice in your heart to let him go.
  • Question
I'm 24 and never had a boyfriend. How do I cope with the depression of never being asked out?
    Community Answer
Just stick it out. You'll find a guy when the time is right. If you really want a guy, then go out and find one. Get close to him, get to know him, and maybe it'll be a match. Don't worry. You just have to find the right guy.
  • Question
How do I deal with sexual frustration while single? I've been single so long and miss sex enough that simply distracting myself does not do it for me, neither does masturbation.
    Community Answer
There are many people who are single and sexually frustrated, and there are also a lot of sites for these people that are meant for sex, and sex alone, which means no compromise and no dating. If you do consider this, you should always be aware that these sites are not always safe or legal, so be careful. A tip is to always let a close friend know where you are, who you're seeing, and what you're doing. Don't go overboard and tell this friend everything you do, but schedule to text the friend about every 30 minutes to an hour, in case something goes wrong and you're caught in a dangerous situation.
  • Question
I'm 43 years old. I'm single, unemployed, not ready to settle down or date. I love my single life too much. I can do what I want when I want to do it.
    Community Answer
    Good for you!
  • Question
Do I have to be celibate in order to be single?
    Community Answer
No, single people may choose to engage in one-night stands or friends-with-benefits relationships. Figure out what you are most comfortable with, and what best meets your personal needs and desires. It's your choice.
  • Question
Is 60 too old to find love? I've been divorced for 30 years, and I enjoy being single, but I feel like something is missing.
    Community Answer
60 years old isn't too old, I have known plenty of people who got together at the age of 65. Consider signing up for online dating on a site like Match.com. You'll find plenty of singles your age who are looking for love.
  • Question
I have been praying on and off to see if the married life is for me or should I stay a single adult at 49. I still live with mom; born with a mild form of cerebral palsy and don't work nor drive. What should I do?
    Top Answerer
First off, it doesn't matter where you live, what you have, or what you do or don't do. You have a set of characteristics, just like everyone else, some ups and some downs. Maybe living with your mom is not ideal, so don't open with that, but this is you. All you need, just like everybody else, is one person who likes your specific set of characteristics. Not a thousand, not a hundred, just one. Unfortunately, the decision to be married or be single is only half yours. You can only 'put yourself out there' until you find someone who decides the other half of it.
  • Question
I have no email address -- how do I find women?
    Community Answer
Do you have a phone number? If so, you can use that. Also, you can talk to them in person, not just online. You can also use many free email services.
  • Question
I talked to a guy for two weeks. We were pretty close until he stopped talking to me. What do I do?
    Community Answer
Forget about him. It was two weeks, and obviously it wasn't that serious, since he completely dropped you with no explanation. It sounds like you dodged a bullet. It's okay to be disappointed, and to feel sad, but just remind yourself that it wasn't meant to be and move on.
  • Question
I am a 16-year-old, straight male who loves physical contact with the opposite sex. However, I don’t normally get hugs from outside of my family. I feel touch-deprived. What should I do?
    Briseida Reimer
    Community Answer
If you have girls who are your friends, try talking to them about getting a hug. Figure out what they want from you while in a friendship, and spend more time with them. This really works!
  • Question
What can I do to avoid crying on the couch, eating ice cream and watching sad movies just because I'm destined to be forever alone?
    Community Answer
Find a hobby or some spiritual stuff to make you feel self-confident and motivated. Use essential oils to calm your chakras (give you energy).
