Place the straw in a 3 to 6 inch (8-15 cm.) layer in between the rows and between the plants in each row. If you are actually developing a square-foot yard, always keep the straw to the facility church aisles in between each yard block. Maintain the straw away coming from the fallen leaves and also contains of the vegetations, as it might disperse fungi to your backyard plants.
