Self-care is incredibly important, so take care of yourself. Remind yourself that all feelings are temporary. Feelings are your mind and body giving you information on what needs to change. You don't need to obsess over them, but use that information to your advantage.

    Expert Answer
A dream that is worth pursuing is a dream that makes the world a better place. What that means is that, in general, you're going to be helping people who are less fortunate than you. Being of service to others is really the only way of leading a meaningful life.
  • Question
I hold value in my family, yet I don't understand why I don't in material objects such as a money or a car. Can I progress in life without becoming corrupt with the need of things?
    Stella H Howell

Man-made objects are temporary and do not give happiness, in fact, they eventually bring sadness. Be content within yourself. Have no earthly desires.
  • Question
What if I can't find how to fit into this life?
    Community Answer
You don't have to worry about fitting in, just worry about molding your life to best suit you. Pursue your interests and passions, and establish your own place in life.
  • Question
What if none of this gives me a sense of meaning in my life?
    Community Answer
You might consider seeing a counselor, therapist, or other mental health professional, as if you're having trouble finding meaning in your life, you may be suffering from depression.
  • Question
I'm jobless and at a loss. How can rediscover my life?
    Community Answer
You need to utilize your free time by learning new skills. This will add to your resume as well as help you discover your talents and interests. Join "meet-ups" in areas of interest and mingle with folks who have some success in the professions that intrigue you. God can't move a parked car, so you want to start putting yourself "out there" in small ways to see if you can make a connect and/or get a better sense for what direction to strike off in. Movement often brings a greater sense of meaning and confidence.
  • Question
How am I supposed to "perceive without language" when I mostly think in language?
    Community Answer
The only thing to do is practice expanding your visualization abilities. Instead of letting yourself relax into language when you think, force yourself to think in pictures. As you do, continue asking yourself for more and more details about the picture and situation, ultimately forcing yourself to expand your visualization.
  • Question
What happens to me after I die?
    Community Answer
Every religious tradition says that we continue living after the death of our body and there has been scientific research conducted by a few scholars, such as Ian Stevenson, proving that reincarnation is more that just a belief.
  • Question
I believe that my sense of purpose is giving back to society and to also help those who are less fortunate. I am a creative individual with many creative ideas, but I don't know where to start. What should I do?
    Community Answer
Pray for God's guidance for His will for your life. Counsel with a Christian person you, perhaps, admire. Search reading materials. Know yourself first, and then you will be able to find your way.
  • Question
I have a successful career, a handful of real friends and more than enough acquaintances. My family and I are all in good health. I still feel like something is missing. What could it be?
    Community Answer
Maybe the thing that you’re missing is yourself. Depending on your age, self discovery may not have been successful and you just haven’t figured yourself out enough yet. Try the methods in Find Yourself to see if they help ease the feeling of something being missing.
