    Expert Answer
Using a commercially available pesticide is the recommended treatment of a mole cricket infestation. Test the suspected area for mole crickets by wetting the area with a soapy water solution. If you see mole crickets come to the surface you have a problem. Treat the confirmed area with a pesticide such as Imidacloprid.

Our whiteflies seem to resist Neem Oil, soap, shooting them with water, and everything else we have tried. Any other suggestions?
    Ninox

Needle manure could be a good natural insecticide. If it doesn't work, you should try chemical ones.

They are probably whiteflies. If you have a cold cellar, you can put the plant inside. The flies should go away.
  • Question
I want to make a 2-gallon solution, what are the exact measurements of alcohol, water and dish detergent to use?
    Hamad Al-Dossery
    Community Answer
I would consider the proportion given in this article and taking gallon as U.S gallon and in terms of U.S ounces. For a 2-gallon mixture, take 0.57 gallons (73 ounces) of alcohol and 1.43 gallons (183 ounces) of water. Add 8 tablespoons of soap, but I recommend lowering it to 6 tablespoons.
  • Question
If I leave a fan on the plants, will that help keep the whiteflies off the plants?
    Community Answer
I think it would work. I have a ficus hedge planted around an A/C compressor and the only part of the ficus that never gets whiteflies is right next to the fan on the compressor. Whiteflies can't fly very well and have lots of trouble in wind.
  • Question
    Can white flies jump?
    Community Answer
Yes, white flies can jump. As soon as you spray them, they tend to jump to the ground.
  • Question
Do whiteflies go after palm trees?
    Community Answer
They love palm trees! In recent years, this turned to be a really big problem in Gran Canaria, Spain. Palm trees are even very difficult to clean from whiteflies and treat with soap solution because of the height of the tree and narrow leaves, which enclose and protect the whitefly colonies effectively by rolling up and moving aside from the water jet or spray.
  • Question
Should I discard the soil after removing infected plants?
    Community Answer
Yes, you should as the soil may be infected as well, causing other plants to become infected, leaving a ongoing cycle of one plant infecting another plant.
