  • Question
is it okay to keep our new cat in his kennel overnight? We want to train him to not meow so much or chew cords while we sleep.
    Community Answer
It will help with the cords. However, I would recommend an air puffer to aid in teaching your cat. Reward positive behavior, but do not punish negative behavior.

My 6-month-old female kitten wants to be outside all the time, what do I do?

She most likely wants to be outside because she's bored. Being outside gives her something to do. When she wants to go outside, try to distract her by playing with her.

Most likely. You could show the cat a picture of your parents and tell him they will be home soon.
  • Question
My two cats are over one year old now, but in the last month they have been constantly meowing at my door from midnight to 6 am. I've tried all methods above and I'm very tired. Any suggestions?

Well, I don't think you can stop it. They could be meowing at something they don't understand or something they think is strange. Either way, cats are quite intriguing creatures that aren't fully understood. If your cats continue to meow, consult your veterinarian.
  • Question
Is it all right to keep a cat in one room at night? So long as it has a litter tray, a bed food and water?

Yes. If you give your cat plenty of attention during the day, playing with him or her and petting him or her, you can leave the cat in one room for the night. You can't guarantee the cat will sleep or even be quiet all night, but he or she won't come to any harm at all being in one room at night. Provide toys if you're okay with the cat being active at night.
  • Question

Well, don't you say hello when you come home? Many cats greet humans. And many cats (not just Siamese) are very talkative.

They want attention. Cats enjoy being around people and may start talking when they want you to play or pet them. To prevent their constant meowing, try giving them attention only when they are quiet. If they begin meowing again, look away or stop what you're doing, but be careful not to ignore them.
