QuestionHow do I make a prototype for a smart phone?Superben100Community AnswerThat is very complicated, and will require much research. First off, you should look up soldering, CPUs, speakers, screens, and other manufacturing techniques and parts that you want in the phone. If you plan to create your own operating system, you can either learn to program it yourself, or hire an advanced, professional programmer. Alternatively, you could use an existing operating system, such as Android or Blackberry's OS, but if you plan to sell the phone, then you will require a license from the company who designed the OS. In short, it will take time, money, and a will to learn, but it can be done.

QuestionI have a patent but I need every thing else! I am stuck with a great idea but I don't know where to go to have it manufactured and sold. How should I proceed?Community AnswerThe safest route is probably going to be searching the term ,"rapid prototyping". There are a number of reputable companies that offer prototyping services that have a variety of resources(i.e. Additive Manufacturing, Subtractive Manufacturing, Metal fabrication, etc.) that will be able to guide you through the process, and be familiar with NDA's and already have systems in place to protect your intellectual property. Just remember that your patent is only as good as the lawyer you can hire to litigate on your behalf.
