    Expert Answer
A graduation toast is similar in nature to a bride and groom toast. You want to keep it short and make the toast about the graduate. If you don't know any stories about the graduate's high school or college years, ask beforehand for some of his or her greatest memories. If the parents of the graduate are hosting the party, make sure you include them in your toast.
  • Question
How do I start proposing a toast?
    Community Answer
Generally people tap on their glass several times with their utensil and then, as people quiet down, say something like "Hello everybody, I hope you're all having a wonderful time, if I could just have your attention for a moment..." and then begin the toast.
  • Question
How can someone propose at a friend's graduation ceremony?
    Community Answer
You probably shouldn't. If it is your friend's graduation, then it is his moment to shine, and you shouldn't steal the spotlight for your proposal.

  • Question
How do I make a loyalty toast to the queen?
    Community Answer
After the entree has been finished, and immediately before desert is served you, the host / toastmaster asks for attention from the audience. Subsequently, you will ask everyone present to stand. Once everyone is up standing, you will raise your glass and say "The Queen", before everyone else responds. Once everyone responds, everyone will drink the toast, and then be seated.
  • Question
How do I toast a couple getting married if I don't know the bride well?
    Community Answer
The best suggestion is to remember to keep your remarks positive and genuine. You can admit that you don't know her well, but that you are looking forward to seeing them grow together as a couple. You can also talk about the traits of the groom that you do know and how she must compliment those in her own way.
  • Question
